08/19/10 WINTER SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR
California punk stalwarts Pennywise, currently a main stage standout on the Vans Warped Tour, with Zoli Teglas ofOrange County's Ignite as the band's new and permanent vocalist, have announced plans for a South American tour which will kick off in December. The trek marks the band's first appearance in the region since 2006. "We are really looking forward to getting back to South America and playing in front of our fans. Over the past couple of tours we've done in Brazil we've realized what an awesome place it is to play. We are also very excited to do our very first shows in Argentina," says guitarist Fletcher Dragge. "Pennywise is about unity and friendship, and with Zoli now in the band as our new singer, we have someone who is very passionate and grateful to be part of the family. Plus, Zoli really loves playing South America and touring all over the world. Getting out and playing for our fans is very important to Pennywise and with Zoli on the mic we will be able to tour more often and go more places than ever before. So keep the beer cold and get ready to party, because we're on our way." After months of searching, the members of Pennywise announced Teglas, a long time friend and tour mate, as the band's official front man. The newly energized lineup made its debut at the 2009 Smokeout Festival and has since played a handful of Southern California shows, including a sold-out holiday benefit concert for Amnesty International at Long Beach Arena, before venturing on a European tour and starting its run on Warped Tour in mid-July. In talking about the band's new front man, bassist Randy Bradbury explains, "Zoli brings to the table a tremendous vocal ability, creativity, and a die hard work ethic. There is a bond that makes this change feel like it was simply meant to be. Having Zoli join the band is a well needed shot of positive energy." The band has been hard at work on a new record and is currently eying an early 2011 release date.

PENNYWISE ANUNCIA NUEVA GIRA SUDAMERICANA; NUEVO ÁLBUM CON EL NUEVO VOCALISTA ZOLI TEGLAS ESPERADO PARA PRINCIPIOS DEL 2011
Actualmente encabezando el Vans Warped Tour, la banda se está re-introduciendo con el nuevo cantante, Zoli Teglas. Los incondicionales del punk californiano, Pennywise, que se encuentran actualmente cerrando el escenario principal del festival itinerante Vans Warped Tour, ya confirmaron a Zoli Teglas (originario de Orange County, con su banda Ignite) como su nuevo vocalista permanente, y anuncian sus planes para un nuevo tour por Sudamérica que arranca en Diciembre. La excursión marca la primer aparición de la banda en la región desde 2007, incluyendo visitas por primera vez en la Argentina y Chile. Luego de méses de búsqueda, los demás miembros de Pennywise anunciaron oficialmente a Teglas, un viejo amigo y compañero de ruta, como el nuevo frontman del grupo. La nueva y enérgica formación debutó en el Festival Smokeout en el 2009 y desde entonces han actuado en varios shows por el Sur de California, incluyendo un concierto totalmente agotado a beneficio de Amnesty Internacional en el Long Beach Arena. February 16, 2010—South Bay punk pioneers Pennywise have announced that Zoli Teglas of Orange County’s Ignite, is the band’s new and permanent lead singer. After months of searching, the members of Pennywise announced that Ignite vocalist Zoli Teglas is now officially the new front man. Teglas, a longtime friend and tour mate, recently played a handful of So Cal shows with Pennywise, including the 2009 Smokeout Festival and a sold out Holiday Benefit concert for Amnesty International at Long Beach Arena. Teglas will join Pennywise on its upcoming European tour which kicks off this April. That tour will be preceded by a short run of west coast dates that start on March 17 in San Diego, CA. Pennywise is currently at work on a new record, its first featuring the new lineup.After the sudden departure of former singer Jim Lindberg, a member of Pennywise for 19 years, guitarist Fletcher Dragge called Teglas a “natural choice” to take over vocal duties for the band.Bassist Randy Bradbury explains, “What started out as a temporary position was just too good to put an end to. Zoli brings to the table a tremendous vocal ability, creativity, and a die hard work ethic. There is a bond that makes this change feel like it was simply meant to be, and considering the recent unfortunate events, having Zoli join the band is a well needed shot of positive energy.”Teglas was excited to take the stage with his friends, noting, "I'm stoked to be singing with Pennywise. Pennywise has long stood behind the motto that you should always follow your heart and pursue what makes you happy, and we wish Jim the best of luck in his new ventures. Pennywise has become a way of life for a lot of people, and has definitely become a way of life for us. As the three remaining members of Pennywisewe feel that we are not done delivering our message to our fans.”The band has always been about moving forward in life no matter what obstacles stand in front of you. PENNYWISE FAMILY SUFFERS LOSS
Sadly, the Pennywise family has suffered another loss. On Sunday, April 5, 2009, Kristian Dragge, little brother of Pennywise lead guitarist Fletcher Dragge, tragically passed away at the young age of 39. He left behind his fiancée, Cindy Linn Groeneweg, and their 1-month old baby girl, Avery Nycole Dragge, as well as his mother Karen Dragge..
The following is from older brother Fletcher Dragge:My brother Kristian has been a member of the South Bay punk rock scene since 1980 and was at one time the guitar player in the infamous Smut Peddlers. He was a legend in the punk rock community and was well know for his hell-raising antics, along with his fierce loyalty to friends and family. He will be greatly missed by everyone. He has been a huge part of the Pennywise family since Day One.I remember him helping me hang the carpet to soundproof the garage that we formed Pennywise in. I also remember him lugging our equipment from gig to gig, starting mosh pits, as well as the fight he got into the very first time Pennywise ever played live. It was a backyard party in Redondo Beach.It was about four songs into the set when he was jumped by three guys. We all stopped playing, dropped our guitars and jumped in to help him, just like he would have done for any of us. That’s what Pennywise has always been about, taking care of family. That’s why we are setting up a trust fund for his month old baby girl Avery Nycole, in order to assure that she has everything she’ll ever need growing up.Any donations at this time would be greatly appreciated. There is no amount too small, anything will help. Thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support in this time of need, it has been overwhelming.KRISTIAN YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN R.I.P.Love your brother Fletcher.....Jim, Byron, and Randy.
